ARInsights provides the market-leading SaaS platform and expert services for managing analyst relations (AR) programs.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data analysis, reporting/visualization, and applied statistics; your work will focus on leveraging data collected by ARInsights' applications. This role will be crucial in transforming our data into actionable insights and building robust models and visualizations that drive our product forward. Please note that this is not a Machine Learning role. We are looking for people with significant data analysis background, and experience applying it to solve real-world problems.
This position reports to the VP of Engineering.
What You Will Do
Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Organize and configure our data infrastructure, suggest and implement improvements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis to extract meaningful insights from data.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical solutions.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and customer experience, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing to the strategic direction of Engineering initiatives.
Research & Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI.
- Identify new opportunities to apply advanced analytics and AI to drive business growth.
- Conduct research and experiments to develop innovative solutions for data-related challenges.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Background in Data Governance is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data manipulation and querying. Experience with MSSQL is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and data caching technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent statistical and mathematical skills, with experience in data modeling and predictive analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
